Jaipur, April 12: The Anti-Corruption Bureau of Rajasthan arrested an Executive Engineer, Hariprasad Meena with the Public Works Department in Jaipur district, on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to his known income.
Operation 'AUDI' revealed PWD Engineer's wealth 200% above income as he owns 3 high-end apartments in Jaipur, luxury cars and bike 19 bank accounts, which showed crores in transactions.
Among Meena’s alleged assets are two Audi cars, a Ford Endeavour, a Mahindra Scorpio, and a Royal Enfield motorcycle, collectively worth about Rs 2 crore, according to the ACB.
The agency said Meena also spent around Rs 45 lakh on foreign trips and luxury hotel stays. Meena is further accused of owning three high-end apartments in the Unique Emporia and Unique New Town complexes on Mahal Road in Jaipur, valued at approximately Rs 1.5 crore, along with a luxury farmhouse.
Searches were conducted at Meena’s office at the PWD in Dudu block and across several locations in Jaipur city and Lalsot. Further raids are underway.
