CCI Jammu Elections : Rakesh Gupta holds PC, demands Free and Fair Polls

JAMMU, Apr 10: While addressing Press Conference today at KC Regalia Sh. Rakesh Gupta, the former President of CCI along with his team of Contestants in the upcoming elections on May 11  Sh. Deepak Aggarwal, Sh. Sunil Gupta , Sh. Rahul Mahajan, Sh. Ashu Gupta, Sh Manik Gupta and other Senior Members of Chamber of Commerce And Industry Jammu once again raised their demand for FREE & FAIR Elections.

The Press statement reads " We had exposed the nexus between the Election President and the Office Bearers of CCI who rigged the Elections held in April 2023 and the same stands proved from the contents of the reply submitted by the then election president on May 22 , 2023. Shutting down of CCTVs / Using Marker and different pens to cast votes/ Selecting relatives and friends of contestants as polling agents and counting agents and further Allowing more than 10 influential members in the polling area to lure voters against the constitution of CCI speak volumes about the criminal conspiracy of Rigging the election.

The Nomination of Bias and Tainted Election President once again to hold the elections in May , 2025 by convening a meeting of (SO Called Executive Meet) that does not exist further proved their nexus and designs to Rig the Polls again.

Sh. Rakesh Gupta condemned the language used by the Out Going President Arun Gupta who said that who do not agree to nomination of this Election President , they may leave the Chamber House.

The CCI Jammu being a registered society cannot work illegally against the provision of the Societies ACT and hence all these anomalies have been conveyed in written to the Registrar of Societies with the request to take action under rules to ensure FREE & Fair Polls. The CCI has been served a notice by the office of the Registrar of Societies on 7TH April, 2025 and to be responded to latest by 11 April, 2025 failing which it shall be assumed that CCI has nothing to say and accordingly matter will be dealt with as per the provisions of the ACT and prevailing rules.

Sh Rakesh Gupta said that we have full faith in the LAW of the Land and appealed to the Divisional and District Administration that all necessary measures be taken to ensure FREE & Fair Polls of CCI Jammu next month."
