Ghaziabad, March 27: Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case on 24.03.2025 against accused Sr. Passport Superintendent, Regional Passport Office, Ghaziabad, UP.
It was alleged in the FIR that accused, while working as Assistant Passport Superintendent, Passport Superintendent and Sr. Passport Superintendent at Regional Passport Office, Ghaziabad, UP enriched himself illicitly during the period from 30.07.2018 to 30.09.2024 and is in possession of pecuniary resources to the tune of Rs. 85,06,900/- (146.43%) which is disproportionate to his known sources of income and which he cannot satisfactorily account for.
After registration of the case, searches were conducted by CBI at residential and official premises of accused at 03 locations i.e. 02 at Ghaziabad and 01 at Patna which led to recovery of Rs. 60 lakh (approx.) cash and several incriminating documents pertaining to Bank Deposits, Sale Deeds, Investment Receipts of Mutual Funds/ Life Insurance Policies, vehicle RCs, etc.
Investigation is continuing.
