JAMMU, Mar 22: Over 21702 Kanals of the land has been transferred to the Industries and Commerce Department for the establishment of new industrial estates in Jammu and Kashmir and further indents have placed for transferring an additional over 14, 661 Kanals of the land for a similar purpose.
Surinder Choudhary, the Minister Incharge Industries and Commerce Department, shared this information in the Legislative Assembly today in response to a starred question of National Conference legislator Ali Mohammad Dar regarding the Government’s plans to earmark new land banks for the establishment of the industrial estates and the purpose of identified land banks. “
He added that a total of 21,702 Kanals and 14 Marlas of the land, with 14,956 Kanals and 15 Marlas in Jammu division and 6,745 Kanals and 19 Marlas in Kashmir division, has been transferred to the Industries and Commerce Department for the establishment of the new industrial estates in the region.
Further, the indents have been placed for an additional transfer of 14661 Kanals and 18 Marlas of the land in the UT, with 9661.05 Kanals in Jammu division and 5000 Kanals and 13 Marlas in Kashmir division, Dy CM added.
