JAMMU, Mar 13: Knowledge and commitment for public works matters as one Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Kathua, Dr Bharat Bhushan, who before joining politics, previously resigned from a senior position being senior JKAS Officer, today expressed strong dissatisfaction over  “irresponsible replies” to his questions raised during the Legislative Assembly’s question hour.

Speaking during the zero hour, Dr Bhushan questioned the response from RDD Minister Javed Ahmad Dar, who answered on behalf of Transport Minister Satish Sharma.

The MLA said that he had raised specific questions regarding the discontinuation of bus services between Kathua and Pathankot and Kathua-Bambyal-Pathankot routes after the COVID pandemic and reasons for not resuming the services. However, he added that the reply given was “vague” and “unrelated”, focusing instead on bus routes of Lohai Malhar and Machedi.

Dr Bhushan also raised concerns about a “vague reply” to his question about sanctioning of ISBT terminal in Kathua and issuance of a notification in this regard.

He said that he was informed that the RTC had no proposal to issue a notification for the terminal, despite the Transport Department being responsible for such matters.

MLA voiced his concern by saying that all three replies to his questions were “distorted” and demonstrated a “casual attitude” towards the concerns of elected representatives & he expressed his strong resentment over the alleged casual approach and demanded that such incidents are avoided in future.

Now, lot of people of Kathua, Samba & Jammu while speaking to Rajesh Gupta, Managing Editor, Cross Town News said that,we hope that our genuine issues can be resolved at the Govt level like hottest issue of harassment by FC & DCs on Gair Mumkin Khad Lands as none bothered to comply SRO-456 of 2017 followed by LGs ACS decision No 17/1/2022 dtd 29th Jan 2022 & other which was issued on 25th July 2024 , however the issue likely to come up today in Assembly.

The issue of Gair mumkin Khad was also raised earlier by BJP MLAs , and issue likely to come up today.

They said Shall any one clear on  order copy of Ban on sale/purchase of such nomenclature lands in constructed areas, issued by any authority, where there is even no nallah, so without order how it can be possible to force powers on inncents?,
whereas FCR issued new SoPs over the same issue in 2023 by over ruling Administrative Council's  SOPs but despite that not acted till day.
