CEO PDA acts tough: Demolishes 20 illegal structures

 Jammu, March 6:  There is a mess of illegal constructions in the jurisdiction of Patnitop Development Authority, which raise a question on the working of Khilaf Warzi Wing of PDA?

But, now acting tough on the the violators, one the directions of CEO, PDA,  around 02 dozen illegal structures has been demolished in the jurisdiction of PDA after serving due Notices under rules for their illegal act.

It has also been informed that 02 FIRs has been lodged against the violator, who did not bothered for the Notices issued by the PDA.

It is crucial to acknowledge that the PDA operates within a legal framework designed to ensure compliance and accountability. Claims alleging that the authority has enabled unauthorized construction are unfounded. The PDA has actively enforced regulations and has successfully undertaken actions against violators.

More than 20 illegal structures, including kiosks have been removed and demolished in accordance with established rules at Kud, Karlah, Patnitop, Sanasar, Tringla, Mantalai, Mall Road, Madha Morh, Kousar and other locations which can be seen in the pictures.

Notice under Section(7) also has been issued to commercial concerns, which has been constructed without due Building Permission from PDA.

Moreover many illegal constructions have been stopped at the very initial stages after issuing notices under relevant sections of law.

Moreover, it is important to recognize that some enforcement actions have progressed to the Honorable Court of Law, reflecting the seriousness with which the PDA approaches cases of violation, so why PDA should operate independently and in accordance with its mandate.
