UDHAMPUR, FEBRUARY 22: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, along with Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh, CEO Municipality Rajinder Digra and other officers, as well as prominent civil society members, conducted a city tour covering Sailan Talab, Sabzi Mandi, Gole Market and adjoining areas to review civic amenities and address public grievances.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to take necessary steps for the widening of Sailan Talab Chowk and the relocation of smart meters, resolution of parking issues to prevent inconvenience to the public during the upcoming festivals.
At Sabzi Mandi, local residents apprised the Deputy Commissioner of the need for establishing a Smart Vending Zone and the relocation of smart meters.
She instructed the Chief Executive Officer, Municipality, to ensure proper lighting in the area, remove encroachments to enhance visibility and maintain the market's sanctity. She emphasized proactive measures to resolve civic issues and improve public facilities.
The DC further directed the Jal Shakti Department to repair damaged pipelines and immediately address leakages to ensure an uninterrupted water supply for residents.
Concerned authorities were instructed to decongest lanes to facilitate smooth traffic movement and enhance overall connectivity in the area.
