KISHTWAR, FEBRUARY 14: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rajesh Kumar Shavan conducted a comprehensive inspection of various developmental projects along the stretch from Kuleed Chowk to Sangrambhatta in the Kishtwar Township.
The inspection focused on infrastructure development, sanitation and maintenance of public utilities to ensure efficient service delivery and improved civic amenities for the residents.
During the visit, the DC inspected lane drainage systems and directed the GM NHIDCL to ensure the complete removal of silt from the drains.
The concerned authorities were instructed to expedite the cleaning process to prevent waterlogging and ensure the smooth functioning of the drainage system.
Furthermore, the Tehsildar was directed to carry out the demarcation of the road to prevent any encroachment and also identify the encroachments and start the eviction.
In a bid to enhance cleanliness and hygiene in public spaces, the BDO was instructed to undertake cleanliness drives in and around the Subash Park and the area opposite the helipad.
The DC emphasized the importance of maintaining these public spaces in a clean and well-kept condition for the benefit of the general public.
He directed the GM NHIDCL to protect the road areas from encroachments and improve the road's aesthetics. Additionally, the ExEn Jal Shakti Department was directed to promptly address water leakages and undertake necessary repairs of water pipes along the route.
The DC also reviewed overall sanitation and cleanliness from Kuleed Chowk to Sangrambhatta and issued necessary directives to ensure improved hygiene standards in the area.
Authorities were urged to take immediate measures for sustained cleanliness and proper waste disposal mechanisms.
ACD Kishtwar Phulail Singh, Tehsildar Kishtwar Nirbhay Sharma,ExEn Jal Shakti Sunil Sharma, BDO Kishtwar GM NHIDCL, representatives from municipality and other departments were present during the visit.
