,Srinagar, Feb 12: High Court for making contradictory statements and not appearing before court has issued bailable warrants against the Secretary Nigeen Club Srinagar for securing his presence before the court.
Justice Sanjay Dhar issued bailable warrants of arrest in the amount of Rs. 10,000 against the incumbent Secretary, Raja Yaqoob Farooq for securing his presence before the court on March 3.
The court directed the SHO concerned to execute the warrants against the Secretary.
The Secretary in his affidavit admitted that the aggrieved petitioner has been paid four installments as arrears of 7th Pay Commission and has approved the release of arrears of 7th Pay Commission in six monthly installments subject to availability of funds.
The officer in the same affidavit submitted that the Nigeen Club has not taken any decision with respect to payment of arrears of 7th Pay Commission and as such, in absence of any order to that effect, no employee of the club including the petitioner is entitled to 7th Pay Commission.
There is apparent contradiction between the stands taken by the officer in his two affidavits”, court said, adding with “personal appearance of Raja Yaqoob Farooq before this Court is imperative so as to clear the confusion”.
There is already a direction in place for his personal appearance in terms of order dated 19.11.2024 yet the same has not been complied with as such court issued bailable warrants of arrest against him.
