Jammu, Feb 7: After Vishesh Mahajan has taken over the reins of Transports Department as Transport Commissions, system has come into actions by all corners following which today, ARTO Kishtwar has issued final notice to the owners of blacklisted 526 vehicles (commercial and personal) asking them to deposit the requisite fine within 7 days failing which these vehicles will be seized.
Notice copy with CTN reads as, It has come to the notice of this office that 526 vehicles were e-Challaned for various offences but they have not deposited the requisite fines through online mode, as per Rule 167 of CMV Rule 1989, within the period of 90 days. The notice further stated that in view of above, all these vehicles as per MV Act 1988 have been blacklisted by the ARTO office from time to time.
Now through the medium of this notice, owners of all these vehicles are informed to pay their pending traffic challans within 7 days from the issuance of this notice & if any of these vehicles is found plying on the road, it shall be seized besides other action as per the law.
As per the list issued by ARTO some of the vehicles were challaned a decade before but surprisingly till date the owners have not deposited the requisite fines.
