RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 04 Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of the Jal Jeevan Mission schemes in the district.
He emphasized the need to adhere to the prescribed timelines for scheme completion and directed concerned officers to expedite the execution of works.
Taking a firm stance on accountability, the Deputy Commissioner ordered the blacklisting of defaulting contractors and instructed officials to impose penalties as per the terms and conditions of the contract.
He also directed Junior Engineers to conduct regular site visits to ensure the quality and timely execution of projects.
The review also covered the electro-mechanical components of completed schemes, with DC seeking updates on their operational status.
During the meeting, he interacted with contractors, who shared insights into the challenges faced during the execution of works.
Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma reiterated the administration’s commitment to ensuring the successful implementation of JJM, thereby providing safe and reliable drinking water to the residents of Rajouri.
The meeting was attended by Executive Engineer PHE, Executive Engineer JPDCL, Executive Engineer R&B, representatives from the Quality Control & Planning Division (QC&PD), the District Project Management Unit (DPMU) team, and the Third-Party Inspection (TPI) team of Rajouri.
