POONCH, JANUARY 21: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Poonch, Vikas Kundal, convened a meeting today in the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex to assess the functioning of the Revenue Department and discuss various pertinent issues.
The primary focus of the meeting was to review the status of verification of scanned and digitized revenue records, alongside monitoring the implementation of digitization initiatives. Key indicators of the Revenue Department were meticulously examined, including Khewats, Khatas & Khasras, the scanning of revenue records, digitization and geo-referencing efforts, Jamabandies, eviction status of state land, Kahcharai land status, online services under the Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA), and other critical revenue matters.
During the meeting, the DC underscored the importance of completing the verification process within the stipulated time frame. He instructed the ACR to closely monitor Tehsil-wise digitization progress and online services.
The meeting was attended by the ACR, SDM Mendhar, SDM Surankote, Tehsildars and other concerned officials.
