JAMMU, Dec 25:High level Committee have cleared names of six JKPS Officers of 1999 batch presently serving as SSPs for promotion on the posts of DIG, which have already been identified as per the new Recruitment guidelines.
Sources told Cross Town News thta Committee headed by Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo met and comprised Home Secretary Chandraker Bharti, Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat and Special Secretary Home as the Member Secretary.
Sources said that one JKPS Officer with 22 years of service has been cleared for IGP with seniority, whereas six JKPS Officers with 18 years of service with seniority have been cleared for the promotion.
Sources told Cross Town News that one post of IGP has been withheld for now.
