JAMMU, Dec 18: A team from RTO Jammu office conducted an extensive road-checking drive across various locations of the district. Guided by RTO Jammu Pankaj Bhagotra, the team comprising ARTO Mudasar Iqbal, MVI Rajeev Kundal, SMVI Amanish Sharma and MVTA Tarunjot Singh, e-challaned 29 vehicles for violations under various sections of the Motor Vehicles Act.
A fine of Rs 1,03,000 is expected from the challaned vehicles. Additionally, seven vehicles were confiscated and handed over to the Police Station Bahu Fort for further action.
The drive aimed to ensure compliance with traffic regulations and promote road safety. Officials stated that such drives would continue to curb violations and create awareness among the road users.
