Senior  IAS officer granted bail by a special PMLA court in a money laundering case

New Delhi, Dec 12: Jharkhand cadre IAS officer Pooja Singhal (IAS: 2000: JH) was granted bail by a special PMLA court in a money laundering case.

She was given bail on the condition of furnishing two bonds of Rs two lakh and depositing her passport.

She was in custody since May 11, 2022.

The case relates to alleged corruption in implementing MGNREGA.

A former Mines Department secretary, the ED has accused Pooja Singhal of money laundering. ED had seized Rs 36 crore in cash linked to alleged illegal mining in two money laundering cases.
