JAMMU, Nov 29: Following persistent efforts by MLA Jammu West, Arvind Gupta to highlight the developmental neglect of Ward No. 32, the JMC Commissioner, Devansh Yadav accompanied by administrative officers conducted a tour of the Ward to assess the problems faced by residents.

During the tour, the JMC Commissioner was accompanied by Joint Commissioners, Health Officer, Executive Engineers PHE, Electrical and UEED along with team and Smart City officers. BJP leaders Dharam Veer Singh Jamwal ex Deputy Mayor, Keshav Chopra, Mandal president, Rajesh Gupta and Pritpal Singh were also present.

Arvind Gupta apprised the JMC Commissioner about the long-standing neglect of the Ward in terms of developmental activities, including the non-construction of lanes, drains, and the inadequate management of water outflow.

He emphasized that these issues have been causing severe inconvenience to the people, particularly during the rainy season. “The neglect of Ward No. 32 is unacceptable.

Despite being part of the Smart City Project, this Ward has been left behind in terms of basic development. The residents are facing severe hardships, and it is high time immediate measures are taken to resolve these issues,” he added.

It may be recalled Arvind Gupta had recently raised the matter of Ward No. 32 with the JMC Commissioner, expressing his concern about the Ward being overlooked in developmental initiatives.

Arvind Gupta urged the JMC Commissioner to initiate immediate measures for the construction of essential infrastructure in the Ward.

He stressed that the residents deserve timely and effective solutions, and further assured them that he would monitor the progress to ensure accountability.

The JMC Commissioner assured the people that immediate steps would be taken to address the issues and improve the living conditions in Ward No. 32.
