Sopore, Nov 20: Following the inspection, the Additional DC Sopore, S. A Raina took a serious note of the unauthorized absenteeism of at least 14 employees and directed the Executive Officer of the MC to seek explanations from the absent employees and take necessary actions, which may include the deduction of half a day’s salary.
The EO was instructed to submit an Action Taken Report within two days.
In addition, serious irregularities were observed in the attendance register.
Two were found to have marked attendance for absent employees, following which, both the officials were attached to the office of Tehsildar Watergam, pending the completion of an inquiry.
