Srinagar, Oct 26: Police arrested 8 persons including the Srinagar District Development Council, Vice Chairman on charges of illegal gambling.
According to the challan produced by Ram Munshi Bagh Police Station, VC, along with seven others were apprehended during a raid in Srinagar after credible information led law enforcement to the gambling site.
The raid resulted in the seizure of cash and other incriminating materials.
Chief Judicial Magistrate of Srinagar, after reviewing the instant challan, has sent all the accused persons to Central Jail Srinagar until the next hearing.
