Srinagar, Sept 16 : Inspector General of Police Kashmir, VK Birdi, assured that the Jammu and Kashmir police are fully committed to ensuring secure polls through an elaborate security plan, which will enable maximum voter turnout and facilitate people to cast their votes freely.
Birdi highlighted the multi-tier security arrangements in place, involving various agencies like the J&K police armed wing, executive, and CRPF.
Birdi said that our multi-tier security plan is designed to ensure that voters can exercise their franchise without any fear or intimidation.
